ACL continues its growth and strengthens its role as a mobility partner

Published on 12/06/2026

At the heart of mobility, serving its members

The Automobile Club of Luxembourg (ACL) held its Annual General Meeting on 11 June and presented the results for the 2025 financial year. With nearly 191,000 members, ACL remains the country’s leading mobility organisation and continues to evolve to meet the needs of increasingly diverse, connected and sustainable mobility.

The year 2025 was marked by the continued modernisation of the organisation, the expansion of its services and a strengthened commitment to safe, accessible and member-focused mobility.

During the Annual General Meeting, members approved the 2025 financial statements, the allocation of the annual result and the budget for the current financial year.

A strong organisation dedicated to its members

ACL continued its growth in 2025, welcoming more than 10,000 new members during the year and bringing total membership to nearly 191,000.

"For more than 90 years, ACL has supported its members in their mobility."

Demand for assistance services remained high. ACL teams handled almost 196,000 calls and provided support 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In 85% of cases, breakdowns were resolved on site, allowing members to continue their journey quickly and safely.

This high level of service is reflected in an important indicator: member satisfaction reached nearly 98%.

For more than 90 years, ACL has supported its members in their mobility. The results achieved in 2025 show that this mission is more relevant than ever and confirm the trust our members place in us.

Continuing to modernise for the future

Throughout 2025, ACL continued to modernise its organisation and services with the aim of improving efficiency, enhancing service quality and preparing for future mobility challenges.

This ongoing transformation reflects ACL’s commitment to adapting to changing mobility needs while remaining true to the values that have shaped the organisation for more than 90 years: proximity to members, expertise, independence and a strong service culture.

A partner for all forms of mobility

Today, ACL supports its members far beyond traditional roadside assistance. Road safety, mobility advice, travel services, motorcycling, historic vehicles, karting, motorsport and emerging mobility solutions are all part of the Club’s activities.

Against a backdrop of technological change, new mobility solutions and the energy transition, ACL continues to promote mobility that is safe, affordable and sustainable. In 2025, this commitment was reflected in numerous information and awareness initiatives, as well as events such as the GO electric Day, which helps the public better understand electric mobility and new mobility technologies.

ACL also continues to provide independent and objective information on key mobility issues and actively contributes to public discussions on the future of mobility.

Road safety remains a core mission

Road safety continues to be one of ACL’s fundamental priorities. Through awareness campaigns, training programmes, studies and numerous partnerships, the Club works every day to improve safety for all road users.

Particular emphasis is placed on prevention and road safety education. Together with Sécurité Routière, the Police Grand-Ducale and the Fédération du Sport Cycliste Luxembourgeois (FSCL), ACL supports a wide range of initiatives aimed at children and young people. This commitment also includes participation in the European Traffic Education Contest (ETEC), which promotes road safety awareness and responsible behaviour in public spaces.

Employees at the heart of success

At the end of 2025, ACL employed 224 people. More than 50 new employees joined the organisation during the year, reflecting both its continued growth and its attractiveness as an employer.

By investing in training, professional development and employee support, ACL ensures the high level of service quality that its members expect.

"Mobility is becoming increasingly complex, but our ambition remains simple: to provide our members with useful, reliable and accessible services."

Looking ahead

The positive results achieved in 2025 confirm the relevance of ACL’s strategic direction. The Club will continue to develop its services, strengthen its role as a mobility partner and support its members as mobility continues to evolve.

ACL’s member magazine Autotouring also maintained its position as one of the country’s most widely read publications, reaching nearly 182,000 readers.

Mobility is becoming increasingly complex, but our ambition remains simple: to provide our members with useful, reliable and accessible services. Whether they travel by car, motorcycle, bicycle or any other means, ACL aims to remain their trusted mobility partner and help shape the mobility solutions of tomorrow.”
